Well all I can say is cool. It would be nice to have something like this. It’s more convienent than hauling out the old NES when I want to play a game.
I’d never even heard of this before, but it sounds cool. I wonder how common these things are. This could be useful in so many ways.
Is there a PSP version on this?
So My Mother gave me one of those page a day calendars for Christmas this year. This one is the “365 Stupidest things every said”. Today’s page struck a personal memory:
“SUBJECT: 900 17th Street-Restroom Emergency
Please pass on to your employees.
The engineering staff has discovered a blockage in the pipes to drain the building restrooms. This is causing the pipes in the 2nd floor restroom to back up and rain into SunTrust Bank. If possible please refrain from using the restrooms unless it is an emergency. A plumbing contractor has been called to fix the problem and will be here in a few minutes. I will send another e-mail when the problem has been corrected. I apologize for the incontinence.”
Why is this so funny to me? Because I’ve made the exact same mistake. Back in my Tech support days, I was once dealing with a customer who was having issues with our product. Due to the fact that the issue could not be resolved immediately I was doing my best to smooth things over with the customer. At the end of the e-mail, I wanted to say “I apologize for the inconvenience”. Now being that my spelling skills have never been great, I horribly misspelled inconvenience. Never fear, this is what spell check is for. Spell check finds this error, in a series of other spelling errors and I tell it to correct my spelling and move on, send the e-mail done. Moments later I hear a co-worker Laughing loudly and next thing I know my mail was forwarded to the whole team with a particular word pointed out in red. It seems the word spell check thought I was going for was “incontinence”, instead of “inconvenience”.
So maybe instead of an earnest apology, the customer got a good laugh or possibly didn’t even notice. One of the funnier/embarrassing tech support memories for sure.
